back to the basics

Our principle to follow a near to nature management results in a very complex way of work, as we face very steep vineyards with a narrow tillering (old vines are placed in a distance of 1.5m, which makes it impossible to pass with a tractor). Most of our vineyards are being ploughed by horsepower, and the vines are weeded by hand and picket. This is the only way to get healthy, lively soils which have a good root zone – the foundation for great wines.
